On the 1st Monday of each month the street department will pick up debris from the city residents.
Residents should call before that day and let the street department know.

STREET DEPARMENT:

On any given day, Street Department Crews can be seen throughout the town maintaining roads and right-of-ways.  The Street Department is responsible for maintaining approximately 10 miles of city streets including Highway 195.  Specific duties include: cleaning and repairing storm drains, mending potholes, clearing cutting and cleaning along right-of-ways; maintaining flower gardens throughout the town, installing and maintaining street and traffic signs; and painting street lines.

The Town of Double Springs Street Department provides the service of picking up brush the 1st Monday of each month.  Brush must be placed by the side of the road with tree limbs not to exceed 8 feet in length.  To schedule a pickup of brush at your location, please call City Hall at 205.489.5447.

On a daily basis the Street Department personnel displays efficiency, pride and skill as they work together to keep all roads leading to, from and through Double Springs easy to travel..
