This contest will include various mediums, subject matter and experience levels. Prints will be returned to contestants. Entrance fee $5.00 per submission. Ribbons will be awarded in each category . 1st place ribbon, 2nd place ribbon, 3rd place ribbon, 4th & 5th place honorable mention.

So all of you photo enthusiasts, beginners, and you pro’s. Get out there and take those wonderful photo’s of our surrounding country side and share your talents and photographs with everyone during FRONTIER DAYS - June 6, 2009. Applications and rules will be available at the Double Springs Community Center and Double Springs Town Hall during business hours. Pictures will be displayed and judged June 6, 2009 at the Double Springs Community Center, any questions please call 205-489-2291.

Registration fee is $5.00 per submission, one registration form per submission (feel free to copy). Submit your photo, fee and registration form to the Double Springs Community Center no earlier than May 25, 2009, no later than May 29, 2009, during business hours. 1. Submitted pictures must be the work product of and owned by photographer submitting photo’s.
2. Name of photographer not allowed on front of picture being submitted or covered as to not reveal photographer’s name.
3. Minimum size of photo, no smaller that 8x10, no larger than 16x20.
4. Pictures must be mounted, in order for us to show, matted and framed pictures will be accepted.
5. Prints must either be in color, black & white or sepia.
6. There are four subject matters allowed.
a. Scenic’s (landscapes, water falls, mountains, sunrise, sunsets, etc.)
b. Wildlife
c. Flora (flowers, water lilies, shrubs, trees, etc.)
d. Old architecture (cabins, churches, barns, grist mills, etc.)
7. There are three experience levels.
a. Open (advanced) professional, advanced photographer.
b. Amateur - never received payment for photo’s.
c. Beginner
8. Pictures must be submitted no earlier than May 25, 2009, no later than
May 29, 2009.
9. Pictures must be submitted at the Double Springs Community Center
635 Blake Dr. Double Springs, Al 35553, during business hours.

10. Entrance fee must be paid when pictures are submitted. Entrance fee is
$5.00 per submission.
11. Photo’s will be judged June 6, 2009, 2 pm.
12. Town of Double Springs & Double Springs Community Center not responsible
for damaged pictures and frames. All precautions will be taken to ensure no
damage will occur.
